At Sameday Transport Services LTD, we recognise the responsibility that comes with operating in a high-mileage, time-critical transport industry. Sustainability is now a core part of how we plan, operate, and improve our services year after year.

Our 2025 Impact

In 2025, we covered over 2.7 million miles, generating approximately 2.7 million kg of CO₂ emissions.

To put this into perspective, this is roughly equivalent to:

  • The annual emissions of around 587 average passenger cars

  • Around 2,700 transatlantic return flights

These figures highlight the scale of our operations and the importance of continuous improvement in reducing our environmental impact.

Progress in 2026

Following the introduction of new sustainability policies and operational improvements, we are forecasting significant progress in 2026.

We expect to cover close to 3 million miles, while reducing total emissions to approximately 2.5 million kg of CO₂.

This represents:

  • A 7.4% reduction in total emissions, despite increased mileage

  • An improvement of around 17% in carbon efficiency per mile

This reduction of 200,000 kg of CO₂ is equivalent to:

  • 101,163 cubic metres of gas

  • Around 40 Olympic-sized swimming pools

  • Enough gas to fill over 350 hot-air balloons

Our Sustainability Plan

To continue reducing our environmental impact, we are actively focusing on:

  • Route optimisation to reduce unnecessary mileage and fuel use

  • Smarter load planning to maximise vehicle efficiency

  • Ongoing fleet improvements to support lower emissions operations

  • Reducing empty running miles through better scheduling and coordination

  • Investing in digital tracking and planning tools for more efficient logistics decisions

  • Working closely with clients to consolidate and streamline deliveries where possible
